Marion Edward "Buster" Love Jr. died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 65.
Mr. Love was born in Vicksburg to the late Marion Edward Love Sr and Evelyn Anne Mason Love. He was a former employee of the Help Your Self Supermarket and, in later years, was store manager for Jitney Jungle. He was Boat Store manager for Ergon Marine and owned Love's Janitorial Inc. prior to his retirement.
Mr. Love was a former independent carrier for The Vicksburg Post and was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Donna Griffin (Clay) and Angela Kirtfield, both of Vicksburg, and Brenda Shepherd and Dana Lewis (Kenny), both of Florence; one son Marion E. "Bubba" Love III of Vicksburg, nine grandchildren, Felicia Logue, Kaci Fife, Chase Vinson, Hunter Taylor, Haley Lewis, Tavenor Lewis, Madison Kirtfield, Zackery Love and Anna Claire Love; and two sisters, Marian Love Phillips (Robert) and Laura Love Ables (Chris), both of Vicksburg.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jesse Vinson.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Farrell, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Riles Funeral Home, with a wake service at 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Clay Griffin, Robert Sibley, Bill Madison, Warren Guider, Willie Cooper, Joseph Ables II, Stacy Hartley and Joe Francis Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zackery Alden Love, Noah Scott Marbury and members of the Culkin Volunteer Fire Department.
