Obituary for Michelle C. Fiedler

Michelle C. Fiedler died on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 73. Beloved wife of the late Erich Joseph Fiedler for 24 years. Mother of Laura Bianchini (Peter) and Rebecca Berger. Daughter of the late Dr. Frank LeCourt and Ruth Lecourt. Sister of Suzette LaCour (Brian), Frank LeCourt (Darlene), Melanie Arnoldussen (John) and the late Jeanne M. Monzon (Luis). Sister-in-law of Margarete Fiedler. Grandmother of Eric G. Bianchini (Stephanie), Joshua M. Colgin (Emily), and Justin P. Colgin. Great grandmother of Adam E. Bianchini. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 42 years. She retired from River Oaks Hospital after many years of service. She enjoyed cooking, especially making divinity fudge, sharing recipes, crocheting, and beaded jewelry. She was known as Mom, Aunt Me, MeMe, MoMo, Maw Maw, and friend. She dedicated her life to the care of others and to her family. She was a selfless example to others and was admired by many. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1307 Louisiana Avenue, New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1pm. In addition, a Memorial Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.  My oldest daughter, Theresa Marie "Teri," is 59 years old today. Her Senior Class picture was taken back in 1981, having graduated from St. Aloysius High School. She has one daughter, Sonya Michelle, who is 38 years old now and served our country in the U.S. Navy. My daughter lives in Magee, MS, having retired as a nurse. I wish her a very Happy 59th Birthday, and may she have many more returns of her "special" day! I love you so much! MOM  xoxo

Happy Birthday Will & Noah

I'm so late with this today and it's my Great Grandson William David's birthday, and he turned 5 years old. Yesterday, his brother, Noah, turned 4 years old. They will celebrate their birthdays together this weekend at Rocky Springs on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Claiborne County, MS. Can't wait to see them and give them big hugs, kisses, and presents. Happy 50th Birthday Suzi On September 25th.

Leaving on a jet plane early tomorrow morning to celebrate my youngest daughter's 50th Birthday next Sunday in Virginia.  Can't wait to see her and my family.  I have four daughters and now have all four of them in their 50s.  I'm so blessed to live this long to see this.

April 3, 2002 ~ July 1, 2022 (age 20)

Mary Elizabeth Moffett passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was 20 years old. She was born on April 3, 2002, in Flowood, MS.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Tony Moffett.

She is survived by her mother, Sherri Ables; three sisters, Katherine Moffett, Emily Lauran Schreiber, and Clara Grace Moffett; six nieces, Everlee McBroom, Ellian McBroom, Finley, and Parker Bumgardner, Dawsyn Malone, Madeline Malone; grandparents, Chris and Laura Ables; grandmother, Sarah Moffett; father, John Brewer Moffett. 

A visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. A memorial service will follow, with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating the service. 

Happy 38th Birthday Sonya!

My Granddaughter, Sonya Michelle Gordy, turns 38 years old today! She is the oldest of six granddaughters, and I'm proud to say that she has served in the U. S. Navy. She went to boot camp at Great Lakes, IL, and was stationed at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. She had signed up for 6 years and planned to be a linguist but became ill and was honorably medically discharged. She attended MS State University at Starkville and the University of Southern MS at Hattiesburg. She's planning to return to Southern MS to further her education. Sonya is fluent in French, German, Spanish, and Chinese Mandarin. While living in her hometown of Vicksburg, Sonya took the Hunters Education Course and had planned to hunt with me until she moved away to Magee, MS. I would take her to the deer camp and practice shooting my .22 rifle, and she was very good at hitting the bull's eye. Sonya has also performed on stage at the Vicksburg Little Theater and took acting lessons in college. I wish her a very Happy Birthday, and may she have many more returns of the day! Happy 22nd Anniversary Suzi & Dennis

Today, my youngest daughter, Suzi, and son-in-law, Dennis, are celebrating their 22nd Wedding Anniversary.  They were married at Cedar Grove Chapel/Mansion in Vicksburg, MS.  They are the proud parents of Emma (14) and Kate (9).

Happy Number One Birthday Asher!

Asher was one year old on May 8, and I forgot to post his picture.  But better late than never.  I went to his Birthday party at my daughter's home in Raymond, MS, and we all had a wonderful time celebrating his very first birthday.  He will be moving to Florida with his Mom (Caitlyn) and staying with his Grandparents in Sebring.  Dad (Ethan) will follow in September when he gets out of the U. S. Air Force in ND after serving 10 years for our country.

Happy 9th Birthday Kate

Kate turned 9 years old on April 10th.  She is opening her card from me (Gran Gran) with $9.00 dollars (4-ones and a 5 dollar bill).  Suzi took the picture, and she said it was a lot of money.  I also got her $30.00 gift card from Starbucks since she likes to go there and get a carmel latte.  She had a big birthday party and 7 guests stayed overnight.  I love you so much, Kate and hope to see you and your sister, Emma, in September when your Mom turns the big 50.  xoxo

Happy 81st Birthday To Me Yesterday

Had a really nice lunch with my sister, Laura Love Ables, and brother-in-law, Chris Ables yesterday at El Sombreros.  They had brought cake and ice cream for me. The Mexican's sang Happy Birthday to me in Spanish.  I had to wear this big heavy Mexican hat.  It was an amazing birthday.  1/27/22
